About the Campaign
Otohime’s Time™ lay focus on healthy aging, whole life contributions and the importance of seasonality, while seeking to fund sea turtle research upon each of the world’s seven species. Stresses relationships of light and time, the Campaign underscores phenology as particularly vital component of the ZLI Framework.
Taking inspiration from the Japanese legend of Urashima Taro, and the divine kami ‘Otohime’, the Campaign stresses the ecological importance of the entire life cycle of sea turtles and not simply their earliest moments. Otohime's Time™ expands public awareness of ‘tipping points’, the idea that there is a point past which life cannot rebound, while soliciting meaningful contributions from stakeholders of all ages.
